In addition, there are two types of hair rigs (small and big) as "normal" ready-made leaders.

The Trolling Bungee Standard is also included in the Climax range. This bungee has proven itself for trolling for Baltic salmon and also for trolling for pike!

The BUNGEE RIG reduces the miss-bite rate!

It allows the fish to take the bait unhindered! No counter-action by a taut line or rod or weight on the bottom will make the catfish suspicious and let go of the offered bait. The Original Bungee Rig can also be an advantage on waters with heavy fishing pressure!

A high quality rubber band corresponding to the weight of the bait is spliced by hand into an abrasion-resistant Kevlar. This combination of Kevlar and rubber provides the "bungee effect", the buffering effect when the bait is picked up. Only when the fish has turned away with the bait in its mouth, has the original bungee rig been stretched to the maximum, does the counter-action take place, the pressure of the rod, or when fishing for catfish, the pressure/weight of the stone or other weight.

Original Trolling Bungee

Specially developed for trolling in cooperation with Frank Selke, guide and trolling specialist for Baltic salmon. The "normal" version is used for this purpose.

The robust rubber band spliced into a high-quality Kevlar reduces the number of missed bites significantly, as well as the number of drop-outs in the fight!

Also very good for trolling for pike with larger plugs, gufi or bait on the system!

The Trolling Bungee Rig is tied between main line and leader.

The original Waller Bungee Complete is the further development and probably also the crowning glory of the very successful Waller Bungee Rig: all important components of the Waller leader combined in one true masterpiece, U-pose, hook and bungee rig together. All you have to do is add a suitably long piece of Kevlar or mono, depending on the circumstances and your personal taste, and you're done. The U-pose sitting on the bungee rig can be moved by stretching the bungee rig. But even when slightly stretched by a heavier lure, the U-pose stays in place.

The "big" version has a small ring on the hook. If necessary, you can also tie a treble hook with leader material here.

Only high-quality components are used, Climax Kevlar 2 mm,

VMC "Jigging Hook", which has proven itself in practice for years, Climax U-pose in 10 grams, ball bearing swivel with 92 kg load capacity and of course the original bungee rig.

The "complete" is still handmade in Germany.

New Catfish Rigs, Climax, 2020/ - 21

The hair rig is one of the most successful rigs in catfishing!

Good rigs can only be optimised, not reinvented!Therefore we have developed 2 improved hair rigs in cooperation with our catfish specialist Jens Köller:

Baitfish Hair Rig Small and Big Baitfish

The leader is made of 2 different leader materials:- Kevlar with 1 mm diameter in the hook area is supposed to make the bait(s) work more "alive". And this enables unhindered sucking in.- Soft-Mono with a diameter of 1 mm and a length of approx. 170 cm prevents unintentional overturning of the leader.These 2 components are connected by a "flare cord knot", which is characterised by very high knot strength.

The hair mounts are especially good when the catfish are cautious and have a bitchy bite.Larger wallers can be quite wary, often "playing" with the bait on offer.Hair rigs make the bait seem "livelier", so one or two fish may lose their suspicion and suck in the bait!High-quality components from the proven Climax Cult Catfish series have been used.VMC's tied hooks have also proved their worth for many years on numerous different waters at home and abroad."When the catfish eat, the type of mounting is secondary, but never the quality of the material used!" (quote Jens Köller 😊 )The U-poses were deliberately not over-dimensioned so that, depending on the size and weight of the lure, an additional U-pose can be attached to the mono leader. In waters with high fishing pressure, a U-pose that is too big can deter the catfish.

Baitfish Hair Rig Small

This "small" rig is suitable for smaller baitfish or for large bundles of dew worms. Here too, the small hook on the hair is designed to make it easier to thread in and out of the bait or lures. The larger VMC single hook remains empty so that it can grip better in the catfish's mouth area. A slightly smaller U-pose directly in front of the grappling hook should reduce the scaring effect. Depending on the weight of the bait, an additional U-pose can be attached to the Soft Mono. A strong strike is important with this rig!

Baitfish Hair Rig Big

The "Big" is suitable for larger baitfish, or depending on the feeding behaviour of the catfish, also for a bunch of smaller ones, or for 2 hand-length baitfish. Accordingly, a slightly larger hook has been tied to the end of the hair The larger grappling hook should also remain free with this rig. The 20 gram U-pose can be supported by an additional U-pose for the total carrying capacity. A strong hook must also be used with this rig!
